What to do when a Lyemance damper is a good option, but the
opening is a bit too large.....
and you like metal fabrication.

I got
it done this weekend, and it looks great! Thanks for your help.

This custom welded steel "box" made it possible to install
a 13x13 Lyemance original damper to a larger liner-less brick flue opening.
*NOTE: The fireplace was tested to
draft with a smaller flue opening to be sure that the Lyemance damper would
cause no restrictions or smoke issues.
The use of a Lyemance damper in this installation was that
of the home owner/installer. The "cap-less" design and low profile of the
damper were wanted and pleasing features.
